Privacy Notice (POPIA)
Taylor-MADE Transport (Pty) Ltd ("TMT") respects your privacy and processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
What we collect
Company details (name, registration and VAT numbers, billing address), the names, job titles, email addresses and phone numbers of your portal users and contacts, collection and delivery site details (addresses, site contacts, operating hours), load and cargo details, quotes, proof-of-delivery documents and invoices, and technical logs (login times, IP addresses, document downloads).
Transport partners (transporters)
If you register as a transporter we collect your company and contact details, vehicle types, tonnage and registration numbers, the routes you cover, and vetting documents (company registration, goods-in-transit insurance, licence discs, driver licences and PDPs). We use them to vet you, offer and assign loads, process POD documents and pay you. Clients never see your company, driver or vehicle details. Only if you tick the optional box at registration and are approved, TMT may list your company name and the provinces you cover (never contact details, registration or VAT numbers, vehicles, documents or people's names) on the public "Our transport partners" page; you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Job applicants (careers page)
If you apply for a driver position we collect your name, phone, email, licence code, PDP status, experience, preferred area and CV, only to consider you for positions at TMT. They are stored privately, seen only by authorised TMT staff and not shared outside TMT. You may ask us to delete your application at any time. [Owner to confirm how long applications are kept, e.g. 12 months.] Only if you tick the optional box and are appointed, TMT may show your first name (with licence code and area, never your surname, contact details or photo) in the "Our drivers" list on the Careers page; you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Why we collect it
To create and secure your portal account, quote for and arrange your transport, contact you and your site contacts about loads, send status updates, invoice you, and meet legal and tax record-keeping duties.
Who sees it
Authorised TMT staff. Transport partners receive only the details needed to collect and deliver a load (for example site address, contact and time window). We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active and afterwards for as long as the law requires (e.g. tax records for 5 years). [Owner to confirm.]
Security
Encrypted (HTTPS) connections, hashed passwords, per-company access controls, and documents stored outside the public website.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to processing, or complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
